Louisiana High School Basketball - Lafayette crushes Sam Houston
January 30, 2024: Lake Charles, LA 70611 Lafayette Lions (Lafayette, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Sam Houston Broncos (Lake Charles, LA), 57-27 in a league bout.
With the win, Lafayette upgrades its record to 11-9 on the season. The Lions travel to Acadiana (Lafayette, LA) to play the Rams in a 5A District 3 bout on Friday, February 2. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 17-11. Acadiana lost 42-36 in their recent league bout against Southside (Youngsville, LA)
Next up, the Broncos play the Barbe Buccaneers (Lake Charles, LA) in a 5A District 3 bout, on Friday, February 2. Sam Houston will attempt to upgrade on its 4-21 season record. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a 16-9 record after their 75-13 league win over Comeaux (Lafayette, LA).
