The Morristown Colonials (Morristown, NJ) basketball knocked off the host Newton Braves (Newton, NJ), 44-36 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Colonials (13-0) will now prepare for their test against Morris Hills (Rockaway, NJ). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 7-5 record.

The Braves now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Phillipsburg for a non-league test on Saturday, February 5. Newton will encounter a Stateliners squad coming off a 46-43 non-league win over Easton Area (Easton, PA). The Stateliners record now stands at 8-8.
