New Jersey High School Basketball - Hackettstown can't hold off Newton
February 10, 2022: Hackettstown, NJ 07840 The Newton Braves basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the host Hackettstown Tigers to 42 in the Braves league victory on Thursday.
The Braves now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kinnelon for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 12. Newton will battle a Colts team coming off a 49-36 non-league win over Morristown-Beard (Morristown, NJ). The Colts record now stands at 5-8.
The Tigers (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against High Point (Sussex, NJ). The Wildcats come into the Northwest Jersey - Freedom contest with a 7-13 record. In their last contest, High Point was nudged by Lenape Valley (Stanhope, NJ), 48-35, in a league bout.
