Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) and the visiting Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA), saw Auburn's basketball squad wallop Eastern Montgomery by a tally of 60-30.

With the victory, Auburn improves its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA) to confront the Bears in a Mountain Empire challenge on Monday, February 7. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 9-10. Bland County won 48-43 in their recent league challenge against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA)

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Narrows Green Waves (Narrows, VA) in a Pioneer challenge, on Tuesday, February 8. Eastern Montgomery will attempt to improve on its 13-7 season record.
