The Giles Spartans basketball team (Pearisburg, VA), was routed 68-16 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA)

The Eagles now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wythe for a Mountain Empire battle on Friday, February 11. Auburn will battle a Maroons team coming off a 52-48 league loss to Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA). The Maroons record now stands at 11-7.
