The Auburn Eagles routed the visiting Galax Maroon Tide basketball team by a final score of 40-17 in Wednesday's league game.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, February 3. Auburn will attempt to move on its 10-5 season record. The Mustangs enter the game with a 13-5 record after their 48-5 league win over Bath County (Hot Springs, VA).
