February 3, 2023: Pine Island, MN 55963 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Byron Bears (Byron, MN) and the host Pine Island Panthers (Pine Island, MN), saw Byron's basketball squad wallop Pine Island by a tally of 81-57.
With the victory, Byron improves its record to 10-8 on the campaign. The Bears host South St. Paul (South St. Paul, MN) to play the Packers in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 6. The Packers come into the challenge with a record of 13-5.
Next up, the Panthers play the Lake City Tigers (Lake City, MN) in a AA Section 1 challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Pine Island will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 17-1 record after their 63-49 league win over La Crescent (La Crescent, MN).
