Minnesota High School Basketball - Stewartville overwhelms Pine Island
February 14, 2023: Pine Island, MN 55963 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Stewartville Tigers (Stewartville, MN) and the host Pine Island Panthers (Pine Island, MN), saw Stewartville's basketball squad wallop Pine Island by a tally of 78-55.
With the victory, Stewartville improves its record to 17-4 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to St. Peter (St. Peter, MN) to play the Saints in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 17. The Saints come into the challenge with a record of 4-17. St. Peter lost 70-61 in their recent league challenge against Worthington (Worthington, MN)
Next up, the Panthers play the Lewiston-Altura Cardinals (Lewiston, MN) in a AA Section 1 challenge, on Thursday, February 16. Pine Island will attempt to improve on its 6-15 season record. The Cardinals go into the test with a 10-11 record after their 74-44 league loss to Plainview-Elgin-Millville (Elgin, MN).
