The Mitchell Mustangs basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Cypress Creek Coyotes to 26 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 16-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Springstead for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 7. Mitchell will meet a Eagles team coming off a 73-71 non-league loss to River Ridge (New Port Richey, FL). The Eagles record now stands at 10-13.
