Texas High School Basketball - Columbia overwhelms Brazosport
February 3, 2023: West Columbia, TX 77486 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Columbia Roughnecks (West Columbia, TX) and the visiting Brazosport Exporters (Freeport, TX), saw Columbia's basketball squad wallop Brazosport by a tally of 74-50.
With the victory, Columbia improves its record to 15-13 on the campaign. The Roughnecks travel to Stafford (Stafford, TX) to confront the Spartans in a 4A Region IV District 26 challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 13-7. Stafford won 46-43 in their recent league challenge against Iowa Colony (Arcola, TX)
Next up, the Exporters confront the Sweeny Bulldogs (Sweeny, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 26 challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Brazosport will attempt to improve on its 4-23 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 11-19 record after their 27-10 league win over La Marque (La Marque, TX).
