The Wharton Tigers (Wharton, TX) basketball felled the host Columbia Roughnecks (West Columbia, TX), 42-26 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Tigers (8-3) will now prepare for their test against East Bernard (East Bernard, TX). The Brahmas go into the non-league test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, East Bernard thwarted Sealy (Sealy, TX), 44-24, in a non-league test.

The Roughnecks now own a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Edna for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 6. Columbia will encounter a Cowboys squad coming off a 62-18 non-league win over Woodsboro (Woodsboro, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 10-3.
