New Mexico High School Basketball - Crownpoint holds off Navajo Pine
February 3, 2024: Navajo, NM 87328 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Crownpoint Eagles (Crownpoint, NM) and the host Navajo Pine Warriors (Navajo, NM), saw Crownpoint's basketball squad hold off Navajo Pine by a tally of 50-48.
With the victory, Crownpoint improves its record to 3-17 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM) to confront the Bears in a 3A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 5-12. Wingate lost 60-59 in their recent league challenge against Thoreau (Thoreau, NM)
Next up, the Warriors confront the Rehoboth Christian Lynx (Rehoboth, NM) in a 2A District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Navajo Pine will attempt to improve on its 10-10 season record. The Lynx come into the challenge with a 13-6 record after their 63-62 non-league loss to Bosque (Albuquerque, NM).
