The Virginia Episcopal School Bishops (Lynchburg, VA) basketball nipped the host Steward Spartans (Richmond, VA), 55-51 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Bishops (10-9) will now prepare for their test against New Covenant (Lynchburg, VA). The Gryphons go into the VISAA Division IV test with a 14-3 record. In their last test, New Covenant got by Kenston Forest (Blackstone, VA), 69-60, in a non-league test.

The Spartans now own a 11-9 record. They play next when they host Virginia Academy for a non-league test on Monday, February 5.
