South Dakota High School Basketball - Britton-Hecla thwarts Northwestern Area
February 3, 2025: Mellette, SD 57461 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Britton-Hecla Braves (Britton, SD) and the host Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD), observed Britton-Hecla's basketball team knock off Northwestern Area by a score of 55-38.
The Braves (9-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Sisseton (Sisseton, SD). The Redmen come into the A Region 1 challenge with a 4-8 record. In their last challenge, Sisseton prevailed over Tri-Valley (Colton, SD), 50-44, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Aberdeen Christian Knights (Aberdeen, SD) in a B Region 1 challenge, on Thursday, February 6. Northwestern Area will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 9-4 record after their 59-20 non-league win over North Central (Eureka, SD).
