Kentucky High School Basketball - Henderson County triumphant over Lyon County
February 3, 2025: Henderson, KY 42420 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Henderson County Colonels (Henderson, KY) and the visiting Lyon County Lyons (Eddyville, KY), observed Henderson County's basketball team overwhelm Lyon County by a score of 59-38.
The Colonels (16-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Webster County (Dixon, KY). The Trojans come into the District 6 challenge with a 5-11 record. In their last challenge, Webster County trounced Union County (Morganfield, KY), 72-65, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Lyons encounter the Owensboro Red Devils (Owensboro, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 8. Lyon County will attempt to improve on its 17-6 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 8-12 record after their 96-54 non-league loss to Bowling Green (Bowling Green, KY).
