In Monday's non-league test, the Orange Tornadoes (Orange, NJ) basketball squad defeated the host Newark Central Blue Devils (Newark, NJ), by a final score of 61-43.

Next, the Tornadoes clash with the University Phoenix (Newark, NJ) in a Super Essex - Colonial test, on Thursday, February 6. Orange will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record.

The Blue Devils (5-13) will now prepare for their test against Newark Collegiate Academy (Newark, NJ). The Panthers come into the Super Essex - American test with a 11-3 record.
