Texas High School Basketball - Center holds off Carthage
February 4, 2022: Carthage, TX 75633 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Center Roughriders (Center, TX) and the host Carthage Bulldogs (Carthage, TX), saw Center's basketball squad hold off Carthage by a tally of 43-42.
With the victory, Center improves its record to 19-8 on the campaign. The Roughriders host Hudson (Lufkin, TX) to confront the Hornets in a 4A Region III District 17 challenge on Tuesday, February 8. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 21-10. Hudson won 74-71 in their recent league challenge against Palestine (Palestine, TX)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Rusk Eagles (Rusk, TX) in a 4A Region III District 17 challenge, on Tuesday, February 8. Carthage will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 7-19 record after their 62-54 league loss to Jasper (Jasper, TX).
