The Hudson Hornets (Lufkin, TX) basketball felled the host Center Roughriders (Center, TX), 50-42 in Tuesday's league test.

The Hornets (22-10) will now prepare for their test against Jasper (Jasper, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 4A Region III District 17 test with a 17-10 record. In their last test, Jasper thwarted Rusk (Rusk, TX), 62-54, in a league test.

The Roughriders now own a 19-9 record. They play next when they host Rusk for a 4A Region III District 17 test on Friday, February 11. Center will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 61-49 league loss to Carthage (Carthage, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 7-20.
