The Mabank Panthers basketball team scored 42 points and restricted the host Athens Hornets to 37 in the Panthers league victory on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 24-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Van for a 4A Region II District 14 contest on Tuesday, February 8. Mabank will battle a Vandals team coming off a 53-37 league loss to Canton (Canton, TX). The Vandals record now stands at 21-9.
