The The Vanguard School Coursers basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Salida Spartans to 27 in the Coursers league triumph on Friday.

The Coursers now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Mary's for a 3A Tri-Peaks contest on Thursday, February 10.

The Spartans (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Ellicott (Calhan, CO). The Thunderhawks enter the 3A Tri-Peaks contest with a 12-2 record. In their last contest, Ellicott triumphed over Calhan (Calhan, CO), 57-13, in a non-league contest.
