South Dakota High School Basketball - Beresford nips Alcester-Hudson
February 4, 2023: Alcester, SD 57001 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Beresford Watchdogs (Beresford, SD) and the host Alcester-Hudson Cubs (Alcester, SD), saw Beresford's basketball squad hold off Alcester-Hudson by a tally of 58-53.
With the victory, Beresford improves its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Watchdogs host Garretson (Garretson, SD) to play the Blue Dragons in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Blue Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 9-6. Garretson won 58-47 in their recent league challenge against McCook Central/Montrose (Salem, SD)
Next up, the Cubs play the Baltic Bulldogs (Baltic, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Alcester-Hudson will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 2-15 record after their 57-24 non-league loss to St. Mary (Dell Rapids, SD).
