The Fernley Vaqueros (Fernley, NV) basketball nipped the host Lowry Buckaroos (Winnemucca, NV), 75-68 in Saturday's league test.

The Vaqueros (26-2) will now prepare for their test against Dayton (Dayton, NV). The Dust Devils go into the 3A Northern - East test with a 6-14 record. In their last test, Dayton was tipped by Churchill County (Fallon, NV), 40-19, in a league test.

The Buckaroos now own a 20-3 record. They play next when they travel to Spring Creek for a 3A Northern - East test on Wednesday, February 8. Lowry will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 41-21 league win over Truckee (Truckee, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 11-11.
