The Fernley Vaqueros basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Portola Tigers to 33 in the Vaqueros non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Vaqueros now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Tahoe for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 7. Fernley will meet a Vikings team coming off a 73-34 non-league loss to Pyramid Lake (Nixon, NV). The Vikings record now stands at 0-4.

The Tigers (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Loyalton (Loyalton, CA). The Grizzlies enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Loyalton was routed by Foresthill (Foresthill, CA), 38-19, in a non-league contest.
