Nevada High School Basketball - Portola tops Dayton
December 29, 2022: Dayton, NV 89403 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Portola Tigers (Portola, CA) and the host Dayton Dust Devils (Dayton, NV), saw Portola's basketball squad knock off Dayton by a count of 48-36.
With the victory, Portola upgrades its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Tigers host Pershing County (Lovelock, NV) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 7-2. Pershing County won 49-12 in their recent non-league challenge against Virginia City (Virginia City, NV)
Next up, the Dust Devils play the Elko Indians (Elko, NV) in a 3A Northern - East challenge, on Friday, January 6. Dayton will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 74-27 non-league loss to Pocatello (Pocatello, ID).
