Maine High School Basketball - Lewiston can't hold off Cheverus
February 4, 2025: Lewiston, ME 04240 Cheverus Stags (Portland, ME) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Lewiston Blue Devils (Lewiston, ME), 49-48 in a league match.
With the victory, Cheverus advances its record to 15-3 on the year. The Stags host Portland (Portland, ME) to face the Bulldogs in a AA North match on Wednesday, February 5. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 10-9. Portland won 46-38 in their recent non-league match against South Portland (South Portland, ME)
The Blue Devils now own a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Edward Little for a AA North match on Thursday, February 6. Lewiston will face a Red Eddies squad coming off a 66-59 non-league loss to Scarborough (Scarborough, ME). The Red Eddies record now stands at 10-7.
