Illinois High School Basketball - Christ the King triumphant over St. Edward
February 4, 2025: Elgin, IL 60123 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Christ the King Gladiators (Chicago, IL) and the host St. Edward Green Wave (Elgin, IL), observed Christ the King's basketball team overwhelm St. Edward by a margin of 75-38.
The Gladiators (15-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Chicago Christian (Palos Heights, IL). The Knights come into the Chicagoland Christian challenge with a 9-10 record. In their last challenge, Chicago Christian was trounced by Wheaton Academy (West Chicago, IL), 88-51, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Green Wave battle the Aurora Christian Eagles (Aurora, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 7. St. Edward will attempt to better on its 10-15 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 12-9 record after their 55-39 league loss to Chicago Hope Academy (Chicago, IL).
