Virginia High School Basketball - Culpeper County can't hold off James Monroe
February 4, 2025: Culpeper, VA 22701 James Monroe Yellow Jackets (Fredericksburg, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Culpeper County Blue Devils (Culpeper, VA), 57-50 in a league match.
With the victory, James Monroe upgrades its record to 9-8 on the year. The Yellow Jackets travel to Chancellor (Fredericksburg, VA) to face the Chargers in a Battlefield match on Thursday, February 6. The Chargers enter the match with a record of 5-12. Chancellor lost 57-28 in their recent league match against Courtland (Spotsylvania, VA)
The Blue Devils now sport a 8-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eastern View for a Battlefield match on Friday, February 7. Culpeper County will face a Cyclones squad coming off a 68-44 league win over Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania, VA). The Cyclones record now stands at 18-1.
