Virginia High School Basketball - Culpeper County thwarts Spotsylvania
January 22, 2025: Spotsylvania, VA 22553 The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Culpeper County Blue Devils (Culpeper, VA) and the host Spotsylvania Knights (Spotsylvania, VA), observed Culpeper County's basketball team knock off Spotsylvania by a score of 64-49.
The Blue Devils (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against James Monroe (Fredericksburg, VA). The Yellow Jackets come into the Battlefield challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, James Monroe prevailed over King George (King George, VA), 79-49, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Knights encounter the Chancellor Chargers (Fredericksburg, VA) in a Battlefield challenge, on Friday, January 24. Spotsylvania will attempt to improve on its 0-12 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 68-38 non-league loss to Massaponax (Spotsylvania, VA).
