Ohio High School Basketball - Fairmont can't hold off Fairfield
February 4, 2025: Fairfield, OH 45014 Fairfield Indians (Fairfield, OH) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Fairmont Firebirds (Kettering, OH), 33-31 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Fairfield advances its record to 13-5 on the year. The Indians host Lakota East (Liberty Township, OH) to face the Thunderhawks in a Greater Miami match on Friday, February 7. The Thunderhawks enter the match with a record of 13-5. Lakota East won 43-42 in their recent non-league match against Springfield (Springfield, OH)
The Firebirds now own a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northmont for a Greater Western Ohio match on Friday, February 7. Fairmont will face a Thunderbolts squad coming off a 74-33 non-league win over Sidney (Sidney, OH). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 10-8.
