The Newark Central Blue Devils basketball squad (Newark, NJ), was crushed 80-40 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Newark Collegiate Academy Panthers (Newark, NJ)

With the victory, Newark Collegiate Academy advances its record to 12-3 on the year. The Panthers travel to Seton Hall Prep (West Orange, NJ) to meet the Pirates in a non-league battle on Monday, February 10. The Pirates enter the battle with a record of 15-4.

The Blue Devils now own a 5-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Livingston for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 8.
