Tennessee High School Basketball - Melrose nips Power Center Academy
February 4, 2025: Memphis, TN 38114 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Melrose Golden Wildcats (Memphis, TN) and the visiting Power Center Academy Knights (Memphis, TN), observed Melrose's basketball team edge Power Center Academy by a score of 39-33.
The Golden Wildcats (6-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Ridgeway (Memphis, TN). The Roadrunners come into the 3A District 16 challenge with a 8-8 record. In their last challenge, Ridgeway was tipped by Kirby (Memphis, TN), 52-28, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Knights battle the Freedom Prep Academy Eagles (Memphis, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 6. Power Center Academy will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 42-36 league win over Wooddale (Memphis, TN).
