February 4, 2025: Monmouth, IL 61462 Wethersfield Flying Geese (Kewanee, IL) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Monmouth-Roseville Titans (Monmouth, IL), 62-49 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Wethersfield advances its record to 22-4 on the year. The Flying Geese travel to Galva (Galva, IL) to face the Wildcats in a Lincoln Trail match on Thursday, February 6. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 4-19. Galva lost 68-32 in their recent league match against Knoxville (Knoxville, IL)
The Titans now own a 20-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sherrard for a Three Rivers - West match on Thursday, February 6. Monmouth-Roseville will face a Tigers squad coming off a 45-35 non-league loss to Princeton (Princeton, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 17-5.
