In Saturday's league match, the visiting Highlands Bluebirds basketball team scored a decisive 90-60 triumph over the Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds.

In their next game, the Bluebirds meet the Bellevue Tigers (Bellevue, KY) in a District 36 match, on Monday, February 7. Highlands will attempt to better on its 16-6 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 3-17 record after their 78-35 non-league win over Immaculate Conception Academy (Norwood, OH).
