Virginia High School Basketball - Edison overwhelms Annandale
February 5, 2024: Alexandria, VA 22310 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Edison Eagles (Alexandria, VA) and the visiting Annandale Atoms (Annandale, VA), saw Edison's basketball squad wallop Annandale by a tally of 71-43.
With the victory, Edison improves its record to 17-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host Lewis (Springfield, VA) to play the Lancers in a District 3 challenge on Thursday, February 8. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 1-20. Lewis lost 52-29 in their recent league challenge against Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology (Alexandria, VA)
Next up, the Atoms play the Mount Vernon Majors (Alexandria, VA) in a District 3 challenge, on Thursday, February 8. Annandale will attempt to improve on its 5-15 season record. The Majors come into the challenge with a 10-8 record after their 52-38 league loss to Hayfield (Alexandria, VA).
