Springfield Tigers (New Middletown, OH) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting McDonald Blue Devils (McDonald, OH), 49-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Springfield upgrades its record to 15-6 on the season. The Tigers host Salem (Salem, OH) to play the Quakers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 14. The Quakers go into the bout with a record of 7-12.

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Jackson-Milton Bluejays (North Jackson, OH) in a Mahoning Valley - Scarlet bout, on Thursday, February 8. McDonald will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Bluejays go into the bout with a 9-10 record after their 42-22 non-league win over Memorial (Campbell, OH).
