In Thursday's league outing, the Springfield Tigers (New Middletown, OH) basketball squad edged the host Western Reserve Blue Devils (Berlin Center, OH), by a margin of 40-39.

The Tigers (11-4) will now prepare for their outing against Columbiana (Columbiana, OH). The Clippers go into the non-league outing with a 12-2 record. In their last outing, Columbiana held off Lowellville (Lowellville, OH), 40-24, in a non-league outing.
