North Carolina High School Basketball - West Davidson holds off Wheatmore
February 5, 2025: Lexington, NC 27295 In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host West Davidson Dragons basketball team scored a close 51-46 triumph over the Wheatmore Warriors.
The Dragons (2-19) will now prepare for their contest against North Rowan (Spencer, NC). The Cavaliers go into the 1A/2A Central Carolina contest with a 13-7 record. In their last contest, North Rowan nipped Albemarle (Albemarle, NC), 88-43, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Warriors confront the Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) in a 1A/2A Piedmont contest, on Friday, February 7. Wheatmore will attempt to better on its 8-13 season record. The Cougars go into the contest with a 7-15 record after their 72-50 league loss to Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC).
