The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC) and the visiting Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC), observed Northwest Halifax's basketball team overwhelm Southeast Halifax by a score of 46-24.

The Vikings (7-10) will now prepare for their challenge against North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC). The Warriors come into the 1A Tar Roanoke challenge with a 12-5 record. In their last challenge, North Edgecombe was routed by Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC), 73-27, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans encounter the Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC) in a 1A Tar Roanoke challenge, on Friday, February 7. Southeast Halifax will attempt to improve on its 3-17 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 8-10 record after their 50-34 league loss to Warren County (Warrenton, NC).
