Maryland High School Basketball - Chopticon holds off Northern
February 5, 2025: Owings, MD 20736 The Chopticon Braves basketball team scored 49 points and limited the host Northern Patriots to 47 in the Braves non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Braves now have a 9-5 record. They play next when they host Calvert for a non-league game on Friday, February 7. Chopticon will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 39-24 non-league win over Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD). The Cavaliers record now stands at 3-8.
With the loss, Northern falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD) to confront the Raiders in a non-league game on Friday, February 7. The Raiders go into the game with a record of 3-5. Leonardtown lost 47-23 in their recent non-league game against Lackey (Indian Head, MD)
