February 6, 2023: Ware Shoals, SC 29692 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Ware Shoals Hornets (Ware Shoals, SC) and the visiting Dixie Hornets (Due West, SC), saw Ware Shoals's basketball squad hold off Dixie by a count of 54-50.
With the victory, Ware Shoals upgrades its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to McCormick (McCormick, SC) to play the Chiefs in a A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a record of 13-9. McCormick won 58-44 in their recent league challenge against Whitmire (Whitmire, SC)
Next up, the Hornets play the Whitmire Wolverines (Whitmire, SC) in a A Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Dixie will attempt to upgrade on its 13-10 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 5-13 record after their 72-56 non-league loss to Greenwood Christian (Greenwood, SC).
