February 6, 2023: Port Allen, LA 70767 In Monday's non-league outing, the Port Allen Pelicans (Port Allen, LA) basketball squad edged the visiting East St. John Wildcats (Reserve, LA), by a count of 71-66.
The Pelicans (23-2) will now prepare for their outing against Capitol (Baton Rouge, LA). The Lions go into the non-league outing with a 9-13 record.
The Wildcats now hold a 14-11 record. They play next when they travel to Central Lafourche for a 5A District 7 outing on Tuesday, February 7. East St. John will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 48-47 league loss to Destrehan (Destrehan, LA). The Trojans record now stands at 9-10.
