February 6, 2023: Howland, ME 04448 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Penobscot Valley Howlers (Howland, ME) and the visiting Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME), saw Penobscot Valley's basketball squad overcome Mattanawcook by a tally of 57-38.
With the victory, Penobscot Valley improves its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Howlers host Bangor Christian (Bangor, ME) to confront the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 8. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 15-3. Bangor Christian lost 88-23 in their recent league challenge against Machias (Machias, ME)
Next up, the Lynx confront the Sumner Tigers (East Sullivan, ME) in a C North challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Mattanawcook will attempt to improve on its 2-15 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 47-31 league loss to Searsport (Searsport, ME).
