Valley Mills Eagles (Valley Mills, TX) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Rio Vista Eagles (Rio Vista, TX), 68-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Valley Mills upgrades its record to 8-15 on the campaign. The Eagles host Itasca (Itasca, TX) to play the Wampus Cats in a 2A Region II District 12 bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Wampus Cats come into the bout with a record of 15-12.

Next up, the Eagles play the Itasca Wampus Cats (Itasca, TX) in a 2A Region II District 12 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Rio Vista will attempt to upgrade on its 11-19 season record. The Wampus Cats come into the bout with a 15-12 record after their 39-27 league win over Italy (Italy, TX).
