McLean Highlanders (McLean, VA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Washington-Liberty Generals (Arlington, VA), 60-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, McLean upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Herndon (Herndon, VA) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 9. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 4-6. Herndon won 45-28 in their recent non-league bout against George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA)
