Illinois High School Basketball - Delavan holds off Midwest Central
February 6, 2024: Delavan, IL 61734 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Delavan Panthers (Delavan, IL) and the visiting Midwest Central Raiders (Manito, IL), saw Delavan's basketball squad hold off Midwest Central by a tally of 57-52.
With the victory, Delavan improves its record to 16-12 on the campaign. The Panthers host Illini Bluffs (Glasford, IL) to confront the Tigers in a Tomahawk challenge on Friday, February 9. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 24-3. Illini Bluffs won 62-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Farmington (Farmington, IL)
Next up, the Raiders confront the Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers (Mt. Pulaski, IL) in a Tomahawk challenge, on Friday, February 9. Midwest Central will attempt to improve on its 3-23 season record. The Hilltoppers come into the challenge with a 11-17 record after their 89-56 non-league loss to Calvary (Springfield, IL).
