Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Pine-Richland can't hold off New Castle
February 6, 2024: Gibsonia, PA The New Castle Hurricanes basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Pine-Richland Rams to 62 in the Hurricanes league triumph on Tuesday.
The Hurricanes now sport a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Seneca Valley for a WPIAL 6A 1 contest on Friday, February 9. New Castle will battle a Raiders team coming off a 73-52 league loss to North Allegheny (Wexford, PA). The Raiders record now stands at 6-13.
The Rams (7-12) will now prepare for their contest against McDowell (Erie, PA). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 15-3 record. In their last contest, McDowell nudged Fort LeBoeuf (Waterford, PA), 68-27, in a league contest.
