February 6, 2024: Weslaco, TX 78596 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Weslaco Panthers (Weslaco, TX) and the visiting San Benito Greyhounds (San Benito, TX), saw Weslaco's basketball squad overcome San Benito by a tally of 43-24.
With the victory, Weslaco improves its record to 15-17 on the campaign. The Panthers host Harlingen (Harlingen, TX) to play the Cardinals in a 6A Region IV District 32 challenge on Friday, February 9. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 30-5. Harlingen won 54-47 in their recent league challenge against Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX)
Next up, the Greyhounds play the Hanna Golden Eagles (Brownsville, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 32 challenge, on Friday, February 9. San Benito will attempt to improve on its 5-17 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a 23-12 record after their 70-41 league win over Rivera (Brownsville, TX).
