The Pierce County Bears basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the host Appling County Pirates to 36 in the Bears league victory on Tuesday.

The Bears now sport a 14-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Toombs County for a AA Region 3 contest on Friday, February 9. Pierce County will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 66-49 league win over Windsor Forest (Savannah, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-14.
