Oklahoma High School Basketball - Blanchard holds off Newcastle
February 6, 2024: Newcastle, OK 73065 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Blanchard Lions (Blanchard, OK) and the host Newcastle Racers (Newcastle, OK), saw Blanchard's basketball squad hold off Newcastle by a tally of 37-33.
With the victory, Blanchard improves its record to 7-14 on the campaign. The Lions host Weatherford (Weatherford, OK) to confront the Eagles in a Western challenge on Friday, February 9. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 14-7. Weatherford lost 69-38 in their recent league challenge against Bethany (Bethany, OK)
Next up, the Racers confront the Cache Bulldogs (Cache, OK) in a Western challenge, on Friday, February 9. Newcastle will attempt to improve on its 10-12 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 6-15 record after their 51-45 non-league loss to Ardmore (Ardmore, OK).
