East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Foard Tigers (Newton, NC), 44-38 in a league bout.

With the win, East Lincoln upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Mustangs travel to St. Stephens (Hickory, NC) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 12-6. St. Stephens won 45-35 in their recent non-league bout against North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC)

Next up, the Tigers play the North Lincoln Knights (Lincolnton, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Foard will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 17-1 record after their 45-35 non-league loss to St. Stephens (Hickory, NC).
